Sixth gear

I'm driving blindly in the fast lane

Didn't get that this path is insane

Driving full speed on the highway

I forgot feelings, shoved them away

Somehow, I threw myself of the road

Until I crashed into a wall like a toad

Wanted to flee from being inadequate

Got bruised, I never healed from that

Set myself in sixth gear, for better

Thought I could handle the pressure

Should pull the break, but I didn't see

That this high speed got the best of me
