Little Girl

Once there was a little girl

She was tiny when she met the world

She learnt to walk but it was tough

Her lack of sight wasn't enough

One step forward and two backwards

Life was dealt with a strange set of cards

She never got further than to her knees

Soon she learnt life isn't lived with ease

When she got up, she got pushed to the ground

She promised herself not to make any sound

Dragged through life still not standing tall

She has grown though she still feels small

Fighting to find her hidden voice

Trying hard to make the right choice

Not to let life get in her way

Wishing for the pain to leave someday
