A sense of joy
2020-12-13

Walking by a river looking at soft waves
Enjoying silence before the storm rages
All I hear is the birds chirping in the trees
A silent song in my ears carried by a breeze
I'm the only one here besides ducks floating
In this quiet moment this is all I'm noticing
A warm sense of joy goes through my body
If only I could stay never missing this beauty
In the water I see my wishes in the shimmer
But when I wake up the river is just a river
The agonizing hole grows bigger each time
As I realize the life, in the dream isn't mine
The warm sense of joy suddenly disappears
Once again, a grey cloud above me reappears
I hope to see the end of the rainbow one day
Until it happens, I have some demons to slay
